Mahomes was born Sept. 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas, to Randi Martin and Pat Mahomes. He went to high school in Whitehouse, Texas, before playing college ball at Texas Tech University.
Does Patrick Mahomes come from a famous family?
Like our Joey B, Mahomes isn't the only person in his family to spend time as a pro athlete. His father, Pat, played in the MLB for 11 seasons between 1992 and 2003, pitching for the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates.
