Watch: Kalen Garry scores 6 points in 8 seconds to lift De Smet to buzzer-beating win

De Smet's Kalen Garry goes up for the show against Viborg-Hurley in the Class B semifinals on Friday night in Aberdeen.

De Smet guard Kalen Garry had just hit a step-back three to tie the game with eight seconds left, but then when teammate Rett Osthus stole the inbounds pass, he got the ball right back. His 3-pointer fell at the buzzer and the Bulldogs captured an incredible 60-57 win over Clark-Willow Lake Tuesday night.

A few nights after the senior guard Osthus (three points and eight rebounds Tuesday) scored 28 for De Smet, Garry took control Tuesday. He had 32 points on 10-20 shooting (6-12 from 3-point) and grabbed seven rebounds in the game.

The Bulldogs fought off 23 points from Cyclones guard Tyler O'Neill to survive a second-half comeback by Clark-Willow Lake. De Smet moved to 2-0 with the win while the Cyclones fell to 0-2.
