Stock futures, Nvidia GTC, Apple-Google AI collab: 3 Things

Stock futures (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) are moving higher in Monday's pre-market trading ahead of the Federal Reserve's March interest rate decision.

Nvidia (NVDA) kicks off its 2024 GTC event (GPU Technology Conference), where it will unveil some of its next generation of AI and semiconductor products.

Apple (AAPL) is currently in talks with Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) to use Google's Gemini AI program on its iPhones, according to Bloomberg reports.

JOSH SCHAFER: Hey, Seana. Futures are higher this morning ahead of this week's Federal Reserve meeting. The central bank is not expected to cut rates in March as inflation has remained sticky and the job market remains resilient. All eyes will be on the Fed's latest summary of economic projections, also known as the dot plot, which is expected to give investors insight into the Fed's expectations for rate cuts later this year.

DAN HOWLEY: AI darling Nvidia kicks off its GTC conference right here in San Jose with a keynote starting at 1:00 PM Pacific, 4:00 PM Eastern from CEO Jensen Huang. We're expected to learn more about what the company has cooking for the year ahead and get a sneak peek at some of its latest products.

MADISON MILLS: And Apple is reportedly in talks with Google to build its Gemini artificial intelligence engine into the iPhone. That's according to a Bloomberg News report. Now the deal would give Google access to billions of users on iOS. It also puts Apple back into the AI race, one that some analysts have said the company has stalled in.
