Cybersecurity risks to COVID-19 vaccine makers

Brandon Daniels, Exiger president of global markets discusses the problems and security risks faced by vaccine makers that have seen a recent uptick in hacking attempts.

BRANDON DANIELS: We have to vet those providers from a security perspective. Because one, if our logistics systems get hacked-- and we've already seen attempts on intrusion into our logistics, systems into our agencies, into our partners. And we're going out and proactively offering them cyber guidance. There are a lot of great people that are doing this work across DOD and DHS that I work with on a day-to-day basis, and they are going out and proactively reaching out and helping to secure those systems that allow us to do this kind of logistics work. And two, we have to vet them to make sure that there aren't underlying conduct issues or problems.
