CPI data, Fed commentary, Delta earnings: What to watch
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics will release inflation data in the form of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the month of March. Estimates put both CPI and core CPI at 0.3%, a tenth less than February.
The March FOMC Meeting Minutes will be released, as Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman and Chicago Fed president Austan Goolsbee will discuss the Fed's monetary policies.
Delta (DAL) and Rent the Runway (RENT) will release their latest quarterly earnings on Wednesday.

JOSH LIPTON: Time now for what to watch, Wednesday, April 10, starting off with the economy. The inflation report that Wall Street is waiting for, the March CPI report coming out ahead of the open. Economists expecting CPI to rise by 3/10 of a percent from the previous month. And on a year over year basis, CPI expected to rise 3.4%. The report providing another piece of the economic puzzle as Wall Street looks for more clues about when the Fed could cut rates.
JULIE HYMAN: And speaking of the Fed, after tomorrow's CPI report comes out, we'll be getting more commentary from the Fed. Fed Governor Michelle Bowman speaking in the morning, Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee in the afternoon. And this comes after Atlanta President Raphael Bostic told our own Jennifer Schonberger earlier that his base case is still one rate cut this year.
The Fed is also releasing its minutes for the March FOMC meeting giving us more insight on the monetary policy stances of each of the committee members.
JOSH LIPTON: And finally, on the earnings front, Delta Airlines and Rent the Runway both reporting tomorrow. Delta reporting first quarter earnings for 2024 in the morning. One analyst showing that rising wages, including for pilots, could weigh on margins for the airline.
