RACHELLE AKUFFO: Welcome back to Yahoo Finance Live, everyone. A federal judge in Florida overturned the US mask mandate on airplanes and other forms of public transportation. US District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle said the CDC failed to explain its decision and did not follow proper rulemaking procedures. The CDC recently extended the mask mandate through May 3 due to rising cases of the BA.2 Omicron subvariant.
