Airbnb confidentially submits draft IPO to SEC

Yahoo Finance’s Jared Blikre breaks down the latest news that AirBnb will confidentially submit a draft IPO to the SEC.

SEANA SMITH: Welcome back to "The Final Round." We have some breaking news here on Airbnb plans to go public. Jared Blikre has more. Jared?

JARED BLIKRE: Yeah, the headline is Airbnb has confidentially filed with the SEC to go public. It's submitted an S-1 registration statement that will remain under wraps until they're close to going public. So usually, it takes at least four to six weeks for the SEC to conduct its review of a company. This is a very large one, so it could stretch longer.

I would say at the very, very earliest, we would get maybe at the end of September but probably stretching into October and possibly as early as-- as late as early November. These processes go back and forth. And when we do have more information and we can pore through the filings and the financials, we, of course, will be on top of that.
