Even after Serena William’s played her last game before her retirement in a packed stadium, the US Open is still bringing A-List stars and crowds to the stands to watch great tennis. And if you want to treat yourself to some VIP star treatment, the Chase Lounge is also the perfect place to cool off and enjoy light refreshments at the US Open® this year. The lounge is open to ALL Chase card members, but spots are limited. Here is how to reserve a spot and what to do if they are sold out.

How To Register for the US Open Chase Lounge in 2022

You can reserve spots between August 29 and September 7. The lounge is walk-in only during the first week of the US Open (called Fan Week), which starts on August 23.

Spots are limited, and they are going fast if you did not reserve in advance.

What To Do if the Chase Lounge Is Sold Out on Your Preferred Dates

If the date you’re looking for is sold out, fear not. Cancellations happen, so check the registration page often to snag a spot.

You can also join the waitlist by going to the Chase Center on the day of the match. If you choose to go in person to get on the waiting list, it’s a good idea to show up early. The lounge opens at 10:30 am, but the Chase Center opens at 10 am.

Is the US Open Chase Lounge Worth It?

Reservations sell out fast, so is it worth it to keep refreshing your browser to get a spot? That depends on whether you have access to another lounge.

Chase isn’t the only company offering cardholders an air-conditioned space at the US Open. American Express® has the Centurion Suite for Platinum Card® and Centurion Members. You can also purchase access to the Overlook lounge as part of a package with a ticket.

As of today, to purchase an individual session Overlook lounge pass package costs $650 – $2,850. The pass includes access to the Overlook and a ticket to the match. That could be several hundred, if not a thousand, dollars more than a regular US Open ticket.

Because purchasing that lounge pass package is expensive, it’s worth trying to access the Chase Lounge for free. You’ll thank yourself for the luxury, especially if it’s a hot, sunny day.
