UNC basketball’s Armando Bacot leaves game with ankle injury against Boston College
North Carolina basketball’s Armando Bacot exited with an ankle injury against Boston College in the Tar Heels' opening game of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday.
Bacot rolled his left ankle when he landed with a rebound and left the court with 4:34 left in the first half. UNC had a 39-23 lead when Bacot went back to the locker room.
He rolled the same ankle at Virginia on Jan. 10. Bacot is averaging 16.5 points and 10.8 rebounds.
With three minutes left until the start of the second half, Bacot emerged from the tunnel to cheers from fans. He went through warmups and started the second half. He scored UNC's first basket of the second half.
