The Indiana Pacers landed the No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday night. This is their first single-digit pick since 1989.
Indiana had a 10.5% chance to receive the first overall pick, which went to the Orlando Magic.
The Pacers racked up a 25-57 record, their worst in 37 years, to earn a Top 9 pick. They selected Chris Duarte of Oregon with the 13th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Convince me the Pacers aren't built on some tribe's burial ground. Absolutely cursed franchise.

Could’ve been better, but could’ve been worse.
The Indiana #Pacers will have the No. 6 pick in this year’s NBA draft. Highest pick since 1988. Now, they have to actually get it right.— Taylor Tannebaum (@TaylorTannebaum) May 18, 2022
