Top football players from the Shore Conference for Week 3 of the NJSIAA Playoffs
The Asbury Park Press is highlighting the top Shore Conference football performances each week during the 2022 season.
Here are those stars from Week 11. The list includes NJSIAA playoff and Regional Invitational Tournament games.
Micah Ford, Toms River North: A junior quarterback/cornerback, Ford continued his superb season by rushing for 258 yards on 30 carries with TD runs of 72, 28 and 2 yards and he also returned an interception 25 yards for the game's first TD in the Mariners' resounding 48-14 win over Kingsway in the NJSIAA South Group 5 championship game.
Owen O'Toole, Rumson-Fair Haven: A sophomore quarterback, O'Toole threw for 281 yards with TD passes of 4 and 19 yards to senior receiver Scott Venancio and 60 yards to senior Cole Cashion as the Bulldogs rallied from a 17-point deficit after three quarters and defeated Raritan 34-27 in double overtime in the NJSIAA South Group 2 championship game.
Kieran Falzon, Raritan: Falzon, a senior running back, concluded his outstanding scholastic career with a career-best 308 yards rushing on 46 carries with TD runs of 68, 2 and 70 yards in the Rockets' 34-27 defeat to Rumson-Fair Haven in the NJSIAA South Group 2 championship game.
Mason Adam Wall: Adam, a sophomore running back/defensive back, rushed for 97 yards and three TDs and returned an interception for a TD in the Crimson Knights' 35-14 win over Pinelands in the NJSIAA South Group 3 Regional Invitational Tournament championship game.
Gunnar Eckerstrom, Red Bank: A junior running back, Eckerstrom ran for 105 on four carries with TD runs of 10 and 65 yards in the Bucs' 33-6 win over Brick Memorial in the NJSIAA South Group 4 Regional Invitational Tournament championship game.
