Here are the top 10 times in Iowa high school girls cross country this season
We're into the ninth week of the Iowa high school girls cross country season.
There have been several outstanding 5K times run so far through the first eight weeks of the 2022 season. Different courses bring unique challenges for every runner, so it should be noted that not all times are created equal.
Even facing a difficult course or poor weather conditions hasn't stopped several athletes from turning in outstanding times. Multiple runners have broken 18 minutes and one broke the girls state 5k record earlier this year.
There have been a couple of new additions to the top 10 this week. Expect a few new faces to enter the fold next week as we come down to the wire and inch closer to the state finals.
Note: We count only the fastest time recorded for each runner. There aren't multiple entries for an individual runner.
