Tom Hanks’ niece had an absolute meltdown over not getting enough camera time on a reality TV show, on which she was the first contestant eliminated Monday night. But that tamper tantrum is now getting Carly Reeves her 15 minutes of shame.

The 39-year-old aspiring actor, who is a niece by marriage to the Oscar-winning “Forrest Gump” star, was booted from ABC’s “Claim to Fame” after another contestant correctly guessed the name of her famous relative. At the end of that episode, she ranted and raved that clues pointing to Hanks were too easy and claimed she deserved better.

“I didn’t even get to do any challenges,” she blathered. “I don’t deserve this! I should have more camera time. I should be here longer!”

In an interview with USA Today, Reeves continued to complain she was treated unfairly, but expressed no regrets about her obnoxious behavior.

“Honestly, I’m an emotional person, so I’m obviously going to react in a big way because that’s just how I am,” she said of her hissy fit. “Could I have handled myself better and been a little bit more graceful with it? Yes. But as far as being upset and sad, that was all real. So, I can’t regret it.”

Reeves said appearing on the show was very exciting for her, which is why she was upset the experience ended so soon. She saw her reality show appearance as a chance to be “outside of the spotlight from” Hanks, whose films credits include “Big,” “Saving Private Ryan” and “Cast Away.”

Reeves, a former UCLA theater school student, has appeared in 20 films, according to IMDb. Her credits include parts in films including “Charlie Wilson’s War” and “Larry Crowne,” both of which star her two-time Academy Award-winning uncle. She most recently appeared in a short film called “Caged Men Seeking Freedom” as “Landlord Julie.”

Clips of her “Claim to Fame” elimination meltdown have since gone viral online. Some have said they’re now “obsessed” with the scene, while others have called it “an instant classic reality TV meltdown.”
