Three Collins-Maxwell volleyball players land on all-ISC South Division teams
Three members of the Collins-Maxwell volleyball team were chosen to the all-Iowa Star Conference South Division volleyball teams in 2021.
Senior Tori Bienfang made the South Division first team from Collins-Maxwell. The Spartan middle hitter had 40 digs, 15 kills, 12 blocks and nine aces in conference play.
The other South Division first-team selections were North Tama's Jadyn Rausch and Shae Ewoldt, GMG's Adelyn Sienknecht and Olivia Maddux, Baxter's Maggie Schabillion and Colo-NESCO's Jenna Hill.
Senior setter Kenzi Wierson was the Spartan player chosen to the second team. Wierson had 60 digs, 36 assists 13 aces and nine kills.
The rest of the second team was made up of North Tama's Kaitlyn Calderwood and Lainey Willenbring, GMG's Jenna Yilek, Baxter's Allison Colin, Colo-NESCO's Izabell Voelker and Meskwaki's Kalayna White.
Sophomore outside hitter Chloe Wierson was named honorable mention. Chloe had 21 kills, 13 blocks and nine aces.
Rausch was named the South Division Player of the Year. North Tama head coach Channing Halstead was tabbed as Coach of the Year after leading the Redhawks to the conference championship with a perfect 5-0 record.
