Taunton mayor's daughter still missing, spotted Thursday in Columbus, Ohio
TAUNTON — Mayor Shaunna O'Connell's daughter Riley, who has been missing since Tuesday, was spotted in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, according to the mayor's office.
According to Ligia Madeira, chief of staff for the mayor, Riley, 18, was spotted wearing black shorts and a pink top. Any further information could not be provided because, "in the interests of Riley's safety, the Police are not sharing specific details."
She is still missing and considered an endangered person, and police in Ohio are continuing to look for her.
O'Connell and her husband Ted are presently in Ohio, said Madeira.
The mayor announced Wednesday afternoon that her daughter was reported missing.
“Last night my daughter, Riley O’Connell, 18, went missing from the Evoke Wellness facility in Ohio where she has been receiving therapy for over a month in her long-term battle with mental health issues," a statement from mayor's office said.
"Ted and I are devastated and extremely worried about her safety and well-being. We are working with the facility, police and missing persons to find her as soon as possible to bring her home. We are praying for Riley's safe return. Please keep Riley in your thoughts and prayers."
Riley may be going by the alias Tiffany Rose or Tiffany Silva, and is without vital medication, according to the mayor's office.

If anyone has any information regarding her whereabouts, they are asked to contact the Hilliard, Ohio Police Department at 614-334-2324.
The O'Connells have two daughters. Riley O'Connell's older sister Ashton O'Connell was heading to West Point in June of 2021 when the Taunton Daily Gazette wrote about her accomplishments as a precision shooter and plans to become a diplomat.
A candlelight vigil was held Friday nigh at Christ Community Church in East Taunton for Riley, which several members of her family attended.
"During this time, we plan to come before God with some focused prayer requests on behalf of Riley, Shaunna and Ted (her parents) and the others trying to actively locate her," said an announcement on Christ Community Church's Facebook page.
Madeira said the mayor attends services at Christ Community Church whenever she is able to, and she is grateful for their prayers and support at this time.
In light of the news, O'Connell's kick-off event for her reelection campaign, which was scheduled for June 14, has been postponed to a future date.
