Takeaways from Auburn’s win over Yale
This was not the preseason matchup we expected it to be.
Auburn (7-1) schedule Yale (5-5) with the hopes that the Bulldogs would be able to provide a challenge to Auburn, but the Tigers ran away with it early and held on late.
Yale shot a poor 32.3% from the floor, and had 11 turnovers, which Auburn cashed in for 17 points. The defensive intensity was certainly there for Auburn for the fourth straight game in a row. This team works so hard. Jabari Smith had another excellent game, scoring 17 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and dishing out two assists.
