Celebrity chef, restaurateur and entrepreneur Darnell Ferguson has been busy as of late.
The chef that helped start breakfast eatery SuperChef's has been a familiar face for Food Network viewers, and on Sunday got even closer to the competition's grand prize.
Ferguson won his sudden-death battle against Ilan Hall, a Top Chef season 2 winner, on Sunday and will move forward in the competition.
The fourth season of Tournament of Champions, hosted by Guy Fieri, featured 32 chefs in a bracket-style competition where one winner will receive a cash prize of $100,000. Ferguson is a number 4 seed, representing the competition's East Coast, A division.
The Columbus native has competed in three seasons of Tournament of Champions and was a season two semi-finalist. The show is Food Network's highest-rated series.
Fergeson also began hosting the new Food Network series Superchef Grudge Match early this month, where chefs settle long-standing personal and professional feuds in one-round, winner-takes-all battles. He is also co-hosting the current season of Worst Cooks in America and frequently appears as a judge on Chopped and as a judge on Guy's Grocery Games, among other shows.
Ferguson has also recently appeared on OWN's The Big Holiday Food Fight and Food Fantasies.
Tournament of Champions airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Food Network and streams on discovery+.
