Brand new Lamborghini worth £200,000 wrecked in motorway crash 20 minutes into first trip
The owner of a supercar worth an estimated £200,000 has been left counting the cost after it was wrecked in a motorway crash.
West Yorkshire Police posted pictures of the remains of the brand new Lamborghini on social media after the crash on the M1 near Wakefield on Wednesday.
Officers said the driver of the sports car stopped in the outside lane due to some kind of mechanical breakdown and was subsequently hit by a van from behind.
As if that wasn’t bad enough for the car owner, the vehicle was just 20 minutes old.
The force said on Twitter: "M1 Ossett today – It's only a car!
