Cast Iron Bar & Grille is now open in Canal Fulton
Cast Iron Bar & Grille, owned by Marc and Christi Albert, and Jason and Esther Gergon, opened recently at 2176 Locust St. in Canal Fulton.
The menu includes appetizers, fresh made steak burgers, pierogis, create-your-own skillet bowls, fish and chicken dishes, steak and pork chops, plus sides and salads. There is a kids’ menu, and iron skillet desserts. There are specials every day of the week, including 79-cent wings on Wednesday. You can place orders for takeout online at bit.ly/ordercast.
Cast Iron Bar & Grille is open from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m.) Thursday through Saturday. An all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch will be coming soon.

Jersey Mike’s Subs opening in Perry Township
Jersey Mike’s Subs is opening at 5105 Tuscarawas St. W in Perry Township.
“We are excited to bring our delicious subs to the Canton area,” said franchise owner Scott Zieman. “We look forward to being a part of the community.”

Zieman will hold a grand opening and fundraising event from Wednesday through June 18 to support Sole Inspiration, which provides athletic footwear to children in need.
Customers who receive a special fundraising coupon prior to the opening can make a minimum $3 contribution to Sole Inspiration in exchange for a regular sub. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.
Jersey Mike’s − which carries the slogan "A sub above" − has several other Stark County locations.

Guiseppe’s Pizza to open this month in Jackson Township
Guiseppe’s Pizza, which has a location in Green, is opening its first Stark County location at 5642 Wales Ave. NW in Jackson Township in the spot previously occupied by Bosco’s Pizza Kitchen.
The restaurant will be open to the public June 19.
“We are extremely excited to be opening in Jackson Township,” said owner Angelo J. Zimbardi, who owns both locations. He is the third generation of ownership; his grandmother and great aunt opened the restaurant in 1963.
The Jackson location will offer the same menu as the Green location. The only difference is that the Jackson spot will have a larger dining area. The menu includes specialty and custom pizzas from mini to sheet size, salads, subs, sides, desserts and drinks and chips.
Zimbardi said this isn’t the first time Guiseppe’s tried to open a store in this area.
“My grandmother and two uncles had a second Guiseppe's way back in the early 1980s, but it did not succeed due to a change of ownership in the building,” Zimbardi said. “I've wanted to open a second location in Jackson for many, many years, and I am determined to make this one last as long as our Green location has. We feel like this market in Jackson Township offers an opportunity for extreme growth.”
Lockport Brewery to host Summer Solstice Party
Celebrate the start of summer at Lockport Brewery’s Second Annual Summer Solstice Party. The party is from 5 to 10 p.m. June 21 at the brewery, at 10748 Wilkshire Blvd. NE in Lawrence Township.
There will be a beer garden, food specials, fun and games, tie-dye stations and live music by the brewery’s own Andy Bors, formerly known as duckii.
Lockport's beer menu includes its award-winning Gateway, which is an American cream-style ale, plus 13 additional beers. Food offerings include starters, sandwiches, half-pound steak burgers and salads, plus a kids’ menu and desserts.
