New St. Cloud City Hall prepares for grand opening, tours on March 12
ST. CLOUD — St. Cloud's new city hall is preparing for its grand opening later this month.
A ribbon cutting and open house is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, followed by tours of the new City Hall.
St. Cloud City Council finalized plans to move City Hall into the former Tech High School building in March 2021, and demolition of Tech's west wing began in June.
The current City Hall at Fifth Avenue and Minnesota Highway 23 will be closed the week of March 7 for the move. City offices will re-open at the new location at 1201 Seventh St. S on Monday, March 14.

City Hall business can be conducted online or by appointment the week of March 7, according to the release.
The old City Hall is slated for demolition and Bremer Bank will take over the space. The demolition and the construction of a new two-story building with a cafe or coffee shop at the site is expected to begin this spring.
