South Carolina football vs. Kentucky: Our final score predictions are in.
The South Carolina Gamecocks will face the Kentucky Wildcats at prime-time on Saturday night.
After dominating South Carolina State 50-10 last week, the Gamecocks will look to be tested by Kentucky. The Wildcats suffered their first loss of the season against Ole Miss 22-19 last week. USC quarterback Spencer Rattler threw for 212 yards with two touchdowns against SC State, but added two interceptions to his season total of seven this year. If he keeps throwing picks, the Gamecocks will be in trouble quick.

South Carolina 24, Kentucky 21: Will Levis's injury status could change everything. The Gamecocks' defense shines against the Wildcats, while the offense continues to find its rhythm in the run game. Mitch Jeter hits a walk-off field goal for the win.

No. 13 Kentucky 34, South Carolina 17: The Gamecocks found some momentum and confidence during their romps against Charlotte and S.C. State. How that translates against the Wildcats likely establishes what the remainder of the SEC season will be for USC. Kentucky will be very physical; the Gamecocks haven’t held up against that well in 2022. The prediction here is that Saturday will look like something between the Georgia and Arkansas games.
Blake Toppmeyer, SEC columnist
Kentucky 31, South Carolina 14: Despite losing to Ole Miss last week, Kentucky’s defense impressed, and its offense had more scoring opportunities than the scoreboard showed. South Carolina’s transfer quarterback Spencer Rattler is still working to find his stride, and this might be a case of one step backward before his next step forward, because UK ranks second in the SEC in pass defense and already gave Florida’s Anthony Richardson fits earlier this season.
John Adams, sports columnist
Kentucky 34, South Carolina 20: The Gamecocks could benefit from early enrollees. But I’m not referring to next January. South Carolina needs immediate help. So, if one of its 10 four-star commitments for 2023 showed up on campus, coach Shane Beamer probably could find playing time for them. The Gamecocks’ top-five rated commitments play defense. Their two SEC games suggest their defense is manned with two-star players. Arkansas and Georgia scored 92 points combined on South Carolina.
