Attack on tourists rocks fledgling Afghanistan tourism sector
An attack claimed by the Islamic State group which killed foreign tourists visiting a market in central Afghanistan has also dealt a blow to the country's nascent tourism sector. The Islamic State group on Sunday claimed the assault on the group of 13 travellers with a Spanish tour agency, believed to be the first against foreign tourists since the Taliban's return to power in 2021.

Tesla filed a safety recall of some vehicles in July 2023 and had last June updated procedures requiring a first-row seat belt to be disconnected from and reconnected to its pretensioner anchor, the NHTSA said. The NHTSA had said in March 2023 it is opening a probe into 50,000 Tesla Model X vehicles after receiving two complaints reporting front seat belt failures in March.
