Will Smith Opened Up About Having His House And Cars Seized And Hitting "Rock Bottom"
In a new clip from his upcoming interview with Oprah obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Will Smith discussed spending a night in jail and having his home and cars seized before his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air fame.
Back in 1989, Will Smith was reportedly arrested after he allegedly asked his bodyguard, Charles Alston, to attack record promoter William Hendricks, leading him to almost lose sight in one eye. Charges were later dismissed.
This came a few months after Will won his first Grammy for the song "Parents Just Don't Understand" with DJ Jazzy Jeff.
