Editor's note: An earlier headline for this story mistakenly referred to Shipp's new position as being at Saint Luke in Kewanee.
Melissa Shipp, vice president of support services at OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee, was recently named vice president of Digital Experience for OSF OnCall.
In this role, she will be accountable for leading all aspects of the digital front door patient experience, including the contact center service, across the Ministry. She will continue to develop and optimize strategy for the ministry and improve processes to achieve the highest levels of engagement and experience.
Shipp joins OSF OnCall from OSF Saint Luke Medical Center where she has served since 2009 in a variety of leadership roles, including director of quality and safety and most recently as vice president of support services. She led the strategic planning efforts to launch Occupational Health/Employer Services in the Kewanee market earlier this year, led the self-scheduling pilot for radiology diagnostic procedures in the Western region and consolidated and standardized regional lab services by managing appropriateness and location of testing. Prior to joining OSF HealthCare, she developed a strong background in retail services management
Shipp holds her bachelor of arts in criminal justice from St. Ambrose University in Iowa and received her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University in April 2017.
She is married to Matt, a Marine Corps veteran, and they have two children, Matthew, 17, and daughter Katie, 12. Melissa and her family enjoy living on their family farm in rural Stark County with their Rottweiler, Elsa. They are huge Nebraska Cornhusker and Philadelphia Eagles football fans, so the fall is pretty much all football, all the time!
