Will Reichard saved the day for Alabama football at Texas.

The senior kicker from Hoover booted a 33-yard field goal with 10 seconds left to lift the Tide past the Longhorns, 20-19 on Saturday in Austin.

Alabama's offense, which struggled most of the day, orchestrated a nine-play, 61-yard drive in response to Texas' go-ahead field goal with 1:29 left. The drive was punctuated by Bryce Young's escape and scramble for 20 yards to the Longhorns' 17-yard line.

Alabama and Texas went into halftime tied at 10, and the score was close throughout the game. The Tide, as 20-point betting favorites, had six straight drives ending in punts spanning the entire second and third quarters. But Young produced a pair of scoring drives in the fourth quarter to win the game.

The 2021 Heisman Trophy winner finished 27-of-39 passing for 213 yards and a touchdown, and added 38 rushing yards on seven carries.

Reichard had one of his most memorable games as the Tide's kicker. He hit a field goal from 52 yards to end the opening drive of the game, matching a career-high, and bookended the game with the game-winner.

Alabama leaves Austin at 2-0, and will have games against UL Monroe and Vanderbilt before a trip to Arkansas to begin October.
