At first glance, the photograph of two fighter jets — one parked on the tarmac and other zooming past it in the air — appears entirely commonplace. The Russian Su-57 Felon and the American-made Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II — both advanced fifth-generation fighter aircraft made by rival countries— have been sharing the same space in India since Monday, a move described by India’s defense ministry as historic. The participation of the two at the Aero India 2025 international airshow comes at a time when India is seeking to bridge its fifth-generation fighter gap.

Now, the 66-year-old Swiss adventurer behind Solar Impulse is aiming higher, in hopes of heading toward greener commercial flight, this time using super-cooled liquid hydrogen. From a workshop on France's Atlantic coast, Piccard and his partners are ramping up Climate Impulse, a project started last February to fly a two-seater plane around the globe nonstop over nine days fueled by what's known as green hydrogen.

Russia's Sibur set to restart drone-hit petchem plant in March
Russia's largest petrochemicals company, Sibur, plans in the first half of March to resume output at a plant that was suspended last month after a Ukrainian drone attack, a source familiar with company's plans told Reuters on Thursday. The company said on January 29 that it had temporarily suspended production at its plant in the city of Kstovo, some 530 kilometres (330 miles) east of Moscow in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It said the drone attack had led debris to fall onto the plant and caused a fire.
