San Francisco Giants, New York Mets announce Game 1 starting lineups for Tuesday's DH
Two of the winningest MLB teams so far this season square off Tuesday in a doubleheader in Queens.
The NL East-leading New York Mets (7-3) host the San Francisco Giants (7-2), who are a ½ game behind the Dodgers in the NL West, at 3:10 p.m. in the opener at Citi Field. The game will be broadcast in New York on SNY and nationally on the MLB Network.
In Game 1, Alex Cobb (1-0, 3.60) will start for San Francisco, while Tylor Megill (2-0, 0.00) will go for New York. In the nightcap, Logan Webb (1-0, 1.29) goes for the Giants, while Max Scherzer (2-0, 3.27) will make his Citi Field debut as a member of the Mets.
Monday night's scheduled series opener for the four-game set was postponed by rain.
Tuesday's forecast looks better with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower 50s this afternoon before dropping down to 40 in the evening.
