Portage County Job and Family Services to host Senior Forum this Wednesday in Ravenna
Portage County Job and Family Services will host its annual Senior Forum from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Hall, 251 W. Spruce Ave., Ravenna.
The Senior Forum is free and open to anyone who is interested in learning more about what the community has to offer older residents in Portage County.
Participants can visit informational booths that offer a variety of community resources. Free educational workshops include:
Support and Services, presented by the Alzheimer's Association, 9:15 to 10 a.m.
Programs and Services, presented by the Area Agency on Aging, 10:15 to 11 a.m.
Senior Scams, presented by the Ohio Attorney General's Office, 11:15 a.m. to noon.
Health and Safety, presented by Portage County Job and Family Services and Portage County Health Duistrict, 12:15 to 1 p.m.
Attendees will receive a free lunch and blood pressure screenings from University Hospitals Portage Medical Center. Flu and COVID1-19 vaccines will be available and offered by the Portage County Health District. Sequoia Wellness Center will be on site offering chair yoga. Many door prizes also will be available.
