JULIE HYMAN: It's time for "Word on the Street," where we check in with our panelists, find out what stories they are watching. Rick Newman, stimulus stalemate. You don't think it's going to get done for a while?

RICK NEWMAN: Yeah, I think our audience ought to know that the new baseline forecasts for when there might be a stimulus bill is now September, perhaps mid-September, which is basically a month from now.

That's-- that surprised me. I actually thought Congress would get this done before the August recess. But the impasse is large, and now there just doesn't seem to be any urgency to get things done.

And Trump has also done those four executive actions, which accomplished a little bit of the job-- not a lot of it, but a little bit. So if you're wondering, when are we going to get this next stimulus, it's not going to be for awhile.
