Stoops, who's been on the OU football roster since 2018, is the son of former Sooners football coach Bob Stoops.

In the 2021 Alamo Bowl last December, Stoops caught a six-yard touchdown pass in OU's 47-32 win.

Drake Stoops has a football-loving brother
Drake Stoops is one of two sons of former OU football coach Bob Stoops.
Isaac Stoops, who joined his brother, Drake, at OU in January 2018 as a preferred walk-on, joined OU’s staff this past spring as a volunteer analyst.
"I'm happy with the decision I came to at the end of the day," Isaac said. "I missed playing at times, but that was when I was younger. I wasn't very far removed from stopping playing, and I had always done it forever. I had to find myself a little bit."

Drake Stoops: Academic All-Big 12 since 2018
In 2018, Stoops was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team. From 2019 through 2021, he was a member of the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
Drake Stoops: Tying Texas in 2021
OU football notched a second consecutive comeback victory against the Texas Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry.
The game also saw what might have been the biggest play of Drake Stoops' career so far.
With 7:25 remaining and Texas leading 41-39, Drake Stoops caught a 2-point conversion that tied a game in which OU had been behind at one point 35-17.
OU went on to win the game 55-48.
