BEAVER FALLS — Aqua America announced this week that it has no plans to either cut jobs or reduce the pay of any workers at the Beaver Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Aqua America agreed to purchase the treatment plant, from the city in October for $42 million, with the deal to take effect this year.

Aqua America announced it will honor existing commitments to the plant employees, as everyone's job will remain and there will be no job reductions or pay reductions.

The company added it will offer all employees world-class safety and training programs, enhanced career growth aspects and opportunities for expanded community involvement.

The company also announced its experts will work to optimize operations and to develop a comprehensive capital program to address areas where age or condition has created risks to continued service.
