Missouri gymnastics competed in its first home meet since Jan. 7 on Friday night, and the Tigers didn't disappoint their home crowd.

No. 11 Missouri set a program record against No. 4 Florida with a 197.650 score at the Hearnes Center.

Missouri cleared its previous program record of 197.457, set in 2004 in the Texas Women's Invitational where the Tigers blew away their competition.

On Friday, however, the Gators edged Missouri 197.775-197.650.

Amari Celestine won both the vault and floor events, scoring a 9.925 on vault and 9.950 on floor. Teammate Hannah McCrary tied Celestine with a 9.950 on the floor.

Senior Alisa Sheremeta set a new all-around personal best of 39.550, beating her previous best of 39.525 she recorded at the 2021 NCAA Regionals.

The Tigers are 5-2 on the season and 0-2 in the Southeastern Conference. They are scheduled to travel to Auburn next Friday.

Meet vs. No. 5 LSU rescheduled

Missouri was originally scheduled to host LSU on Jan. 14, but that meet was postponed due to COVID-19. That meet now has a new date.

MU will host both No. 5 LSU and Arkansas on Feb. 20 at the Hearnes Center.

The Feb. 20 meet also serves as a makeup for LSU and Arkansas, as both were scheduled to face off on Jan. 21 before needing to postpone that meet.
