Move over, Beyoncé. It was Catfish‘s Nev Schulman and his pregnant fiancée, Laura Perlongo, who stole the spotlight on the MTV VMAs white carpet Sunday night thanks to her belly-baring ensemble , but it was no big deal to the recently engaged couple.

“I feel like when you’re pregnant, your body is changing so much that it does feel like I’m wearing something. So there’s that aspect to it,” said the eight-months-pregnant Perlongo when asked what inspired her look. “I laid out a bunch of stuff and rather than try to cover it up or hide I just wanted to wear something fun.”

Something she’s giving considerably more thought to is the name of their unborn baby girl. When asked if the couple had decided on one, Perlongo, 30, replied, “Yes — maybe! I don’t know, I don’t want to lock it in until I see her. Then you know,” she said. “There’s been a lot of Internet searches. There’s books. I’ve been taking requests. Everyone’s been like, ‘What’s the name?’ I’m like, ‘I’m open to suggestions.’ And then everybody, you know, stresses out.”

While they wait for their bundle of joy to arrive, Nev, 31, is keeping Perlongo “well-fed” and running all sorts of errands.

“I put all the baby stuff together, set up the crib, you know. I love all that stuff,” Schulman smiled. “I’m very handy, so I’m happy to have things to build.”

“He was perfect before I was pregnant, and he’s perfect now,” gushed Perlongo.

Thankfully, the pregnancy hasn’t brought too many cravings but there is one thing that the freelance photographer and copywriter can’t wait to have again.

“I’ve been craving a drink!” she confessed, revealing that after she gives birth she is planning on having “a little tequila party night! Because you can have a little wine when you’re pregnant, so it’s not like I’m superexcited about wine … but hard tequila!”

Partying will probably be the last think you’ll be thinking about after giving birth, Laura, but it sounds like a fun plan for now!
