Nelson Bradshaw, who has been a volunteer with Gator Bowl Sports for 14 years, has been named the 2022-23 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl chairman.

The TaxSlayer Bowl will be played for the 77th time this season at TIAA Bank Field, matching an SEC team vs. an ACC team. The game is televised on ESPN.

Wake Forest defeated Rutgers 38-10 in last year's game. Rutgers, a Big Ten team, replaced Texas A&M when the Aggies couldn't field a team due to a combination of players leaving school early and positive COVID-19 tests.

Bradshaw replaces John Duce, who helped guide the game through the last two years when the 2021 TaxSlayer Bowl between Kentucky and N.C. State was played with only 25 percent capacity because of the pandemic; and last year, when Texas A&M withdrew and Rutgers replaced them within a two-day period 10 days before the game.

He also has been involved in numerous charities and community groups, holding board positions with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the World Affairs Council, JAX Chamber, Hubbard House Foundation, Here Tomorrow and UNF College of Business Advisory Board.

“Gator Bowl Sports has been a long-time staple in our community and one of the first organizations I joined after moving to Jacksonville,” Bradshaw said in a statement. “It is an honor and privilege to serve as chairman of this prestigious organization and continue to create an impact across the First Coast through our economic impact, charitable programming, and community engagement initiatives.”

Bradshaw graduated from LSU and from executive management programs at the University of Texas at Austin and IESE International University in Europe. He lives in Jacksonville Beach with Judy, his wife of more than 30 years.

Founder and CEO of Money Pages Alan Worley was named chairman-elect for the 2023-24 season. Worley began money pages in Jacksonville in 2001 and since then Money Pages is published in markets in eight states. He launched 3D Digital in 2014, a full-service digital agency that provides digital marketing, social media management, and video services to its clients.

Worley has served with the Advisory Commission on Television, Film & Commercial Production; the Better Business Bureau Board of Directors and the Synovus Bank Advisory Board. Alan and his wife Kristin have three children, Megan (27), Madison (20) and Braxton (16).
