MrBeast YouTube Star Chris Tyson Shut Down Critics Who Accused Them Of Abandoning Their 2-Year-Old Son After Starting Hormone Replacement Therapy
If you keep up with MrBeast and his crew of collaborators, you probably know that YouTuber Chris Tyson recently went through a major life change.
Earlier this month, Chris opened up about being gender non-conforming and shared that they had started hormone replacement therapy.
Chris, who uses any pronouns, shared that they were excited about the progress they had made in only two months and called the treatment "life-saving."
Start of the pandemic VS now 🫣
"Informed consent HRT saved my and many others' lives. The hurdles gnc people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me," Chris wrote. "Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies."

While MrBeast and Chris's other friends have been incredibly supportive of their decision, they've ended up facing a lot of anti-trans backlash.
Although MrBeast has helped shut down haters on several occasions, critics are now coming for Chris's parenting abilities.
@Relolyn Yeah, this is getting absurd. Chris isn’t my “nightmare” he’s my fucken friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to piss me off
When Chris recently changed their Twitter photo from a snapshot with their 2-year-old son Tucker to a sketch showing their now more feminine appearance, one critic called them out.
In a Twitter thread, the critic condemned Chris's choice to start HRT and questioned if Chris actually loved Tucker. He explained that by Chris fulfilling "his selfish fetish fantasy of being a woman," they were sacrificing a "perfectly healthy nuclear family."
/1 Meet @chris. Most known for his appearances with @MrBeast. Who recently came out stating he is taking HRT. It also known that he is now separated from his wife who he has one child with. @chris claims he loves his son more than anything but let’s examine.
The critic even accused Chris of "pushing his selfish fetish onto his own son" by posting a photo of the little boy in sparkly dress up shoes.
"To further my point about @chris, he just changed his alt account @Christhealtgod profile picture to a sketch of himself. It used to be a picture of him and his son. He can’t use a real picture because he knows he looks too masculine," the critic wrote.

In response, Chris shut him down, explaining the change all had to do with protecting their son.
"i just dont want anymore photos of Tucker out there than has to be 👍 /gen /pos," Chris wrote.

Last week, Chris also addressed commenters who claimed they abandoned Tucker, writing, "He is the only priority in my life. I have his love and support, and that is all I need. I’m doing this for him. If that confuses you, educate yourself."
I won’t let people talk about how I ‘abandoned my child’. He is the only priority in my life. I have his love and support and that is all I need. I’m doing this for him. If that confuses you, educate yourself. It that makes you mad. Leave. Simple.
Although Chris is continuing to deal with haters, they say that they are "genuinely so glad" that coming out has helped so many people learn about HRT and start conversations.
I’m genuinely so glad so many people are learning what HRT is and how it CAN and HAS helped so many people because of my tweet. I was super nervous to be public about this bc I’ve always been so private when it comes to this, but seeing conversations started bc of me is amazing https://t.co/r1Tf53PYHZ
