Mount Vernon standout Dylan Colon repeats as Mr. Basketball in lower Hudson
For the second year in a row, Mount Vernon point guard Dylan Colon was named Mr. Basketball by the Lower Hudson Basketball Coaches Association during the organization's annual awards dinner Monday in Tarrytown.
The senior lead the Knights to an 18-5 season. Only two of those losses came against a Section 1 opponent. He averaged 16 points per game.

Basiaka Butcher of Valhalla, Matt Fitzsimons of Somers, Lawrence Mitchell of Clarkstown South, Alex Tavarez of Walter Panas and Chris Whyte-Luciano, of Lakeland were named LHBCA First-Team All-Stars.
This year's all-section and all-conference picks were celebrated and four coaches picked up awards.
Pat McGuinness of Clarkstown South was honored as LHBCA Coach of the Year, Chris DiCintio of Somers was given the John Martino Service Award, Anthony Nicodemo of Greenburgh-North Castle was presented the first Willie Worsley Social Justice Award and Ted Garber of The Leffell School received the DeMaio Sportsmanship Award.
