Miyan Williams tied an OSU rushing TD record. Here are more Ohio State rushing records

Miyan Williams ran his way onto the same list as Pete Johnson and Keith Byars.

The Ohio State third-year running back tied the school record for most rushing touchdowns in a single game, becoming only the third Buckeyes player to record five rushing touchdowns in a game.

It was a historic game for Williams, finishing with a career high 189 rushing yards on 21 carries.

Williams is the first Ohio State running back since J.K. Dobbins in 2019 to score four touchdowns in a single game.

Williams' 189 yards is his second-straight 100-yard game, recording 101 yards on 11 carries against Wisconsin. The third-year Ohio State running back had two 100-yard rushing games in 2021 against Minnesota and Purdue.

Williams came in with a previous career high of two touchdowns in a game.

The man won those Heisman trophies for a reason.

Griffin's 5,589 yards from 1972-1975 are the program's record. Elliott is second with with 3,961 yards and George is third with 3,768 yards.

Who is Ohio State single-season rushing record holder?

That would be George.

The 1995 Heisman Trophy winner went for 1,927 yards that year.

Elliott had the next two highest totals in 2014 (1,878 yards) and 2015 (1,821 yards). Keith Byars is fourth on the list at 1,764 yards.

Who has the most Ohio State rushing touchdowns?

Running back Pete Johnson, who played with Griffin from 1973-1975, had 56 career rushing touchdowns.

He is followed by Byars' 46 and George's 44.

That would be, of course, Johnson, who in 1975 had 25 touchdowns.

George's 24 in 1995 are second.
