- Julia, I want to turn to you on the corporate world and how they have been adapting or all of this and changing tastes, as it were. McDonald's is making some new product introductions in the breakfast wars.

JULIA LA ROCHE: Yeah, that's right. Well, when you think about it, McDonald's has gotten a ton of buzz lately, whether it was the Travis Scott meal or the spicy chicken nuggets. I just felt like my social media feeds were flooded with it.

And today, McDonald's is announcing that they are adding baked goods back onto the menu for the breakfast menu for the first time in eight years. So they're adding an apple fritter, a blueberry muffin, and a cinnamon roll.

And keep in mind, this comes at a time when breakfast sales have been under pressure. Because when you think about it, COVID-19, work from home lockdowns has really kind of disrupted that morning commute, where you might pop in and grab an Egg McMuffin or something, or at least go through the drive-through.

So in a space where you're seeing more and more competition, you're definitely seeing McDonald's kind of ramp up their efforts. They're kind of iconic when it comes to the breakfast. So expanding their menu, hoping to attract some more customers and boost those breakfast sales.
