money On The Market: Hebron home of TQL stadium architect listed for $1M
Kim Patton, a local architect who helped design TQL Stadium and the Kenton County Administration building on the old Bavarian Brewery site, is selling his own home in Hebron for just over $1 million.
Patton, president of Elevar Design Group, built the house at 810 Westview Drive in 1994 using steel post-and-beam construction to create a four-bedroom, three-bath geometric-style residence for him and his wife, Sarah, and their children.
The house, which has two concrete decks on the upper and lower levels, sits at the top of a hill overlooking the Ohio River on a partially wooded 4.38-acre lot with sweeping views of the river, the woods and a pond.
The interior of the house has an open floor plan, walls of windows, a fireplace, numerous built-in features and multi-panel doors and cabinets made from reclaimed wood, which was also used for flooring.
The house also comes with an oversized, two-car garage, where Patton parks his classic 1967 Pontiac Firebird convertible.
The house is for sale, but "I'm keeping the car," Patton said.
