Police say a man, Dylan Forbes, 24, was shot dead Tuesday after an argument escalated in northeast Phoenix.

Cameron Drake, 24, was arrested and faces murder charges, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting about 9 p.m. Tuesday near 60th Street and Acoma Drive, where they found Forbes with a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

According to a statement, police learned that Forbes was in a vehicle with Drake and another person. An argument took place before Forbes was shot.

"Drake left the scene after the shooting and called police," Sgt. Melissa Soliz said. "The other person in the vehicle remained on scene and called police after the shooting occurred."
