Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox walk separately at 'Taurus' red carpet but still stay on blood theme

NEW YORK — Known for packing on the PDA on previous red carpets, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly did not appear hand-in-hand for the Tribeca premiere of Kelly's latest film "Taurus."

Instead, standing alone at an approximate 6-foot-4-inches was Kelly, who goes by Colson Baker in his acting career, dressed in a sequin white suit with bright millennial pink hair. As an accessory, he wore a blood-filled syringe earring with a red jewel dangling to resemble a single drop.

The actor and rockstar posed for cameras alone ahead of the "Taurus" showing at New York City's Beacon Theater as part of the annual Tribeca Festival Thursday. While the movie was the main event, the red carpet erupted in cheers as Bakerentered the media-filled tent. Fox, dressed in red, met him off the carpet as they entered the theater together.

"Taurus" written and directed by Tim Sutton follows the tragic plight of a rockstar similar to Baker dealing with addiction that alters his music and heavily burdens those around him including his assistant and young daughter.

Fox joined the cast and director on stage after the screening, not saying much other than piping in when it came to describing Baker's astrological birth chart. And while she only appeared on screen for approximately three minutes and with no lines, Sutton said Fox was involved in the film from the beginning.

"I went over to their house and pitched (Taurus) hard to her," Sutton told USA TODAY. "If we had (another) actress play his girlfriend ... it's pure fiction. Instead, you're like that's their real life."

However, the film, described by an attendee as " 'A Star is Born' with a sprinkle more of depression" has a few remixes. Fox's Mae character plays the ex-wife of Colson's Cole, but in reality, the two are planning for a wedding after getting engaged with a sip of each other's blood in January.

The blood continued to be a theme in the Fox/Baker relationship with the actor's jewelry choice and Fox's red dress.

But when asked about the earring on the red carpet, Baker, who has been open about wearing Fox's blood in a necklace, simply responded: "Take your own guess about that one."
