How famous is Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly?

He’s famous enough to top the Billboard charts, enjoy multiplatinum success, appear in Hollywood movies and be engaged to Megan Fox.

Now he’s famous enough to headline a football stadium on a North American stadium tour.

Live Nation has announced that Machine Gun Kelly will bring his “Mainstream Sellout Tour” to FirstEnergy Stadium at 5 p.m. Aug. 13 in Cleveland. Special guests include Avril Lavigne, Trippie Redd, Travis Barker, Willow and 44phantom.

Presale tickets were scheduled from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday, March 21, at the 27 Club, the coffee shop that Kelly owns at 1215 W. 10th St. in Cleveland. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com and livenation.com.

Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, will embark on a 52-arena tour June 8 in Austin, Texas, and cap it off in his hometown Aug. 13 at FirstEnergy Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 67,431.

For Northeast Ohio fans who don’t mind a little drive, other tour stops include July 2 at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, July 3 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit and Aug. 2 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

After that, Kelly plans a 15-stop European tour beginning Sept. 17 in Cologne, Germany.

The Shaker Heights High School alumnus most recently appeared in Cleveland on Feb. 20 as a celebrity player at the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. He headlined a concert Dec. 18 at the 19,432-seat arena.

The multiplatinum singer has sold more than 10 million albums and compiled more than 15.5 billion streams online. His new album, “Mainstream Sellout,” produced by Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, will be released March 25. Kelly’s previous album, “Tickets to My Downfall,” which dabbled in pop-punk, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard.

Kelly will turn 32 on April 22.

He and actress Megan Fox announced their engagement in January. They have been dating since 2020.
