Louisville and Kentucky are set for the 57th women's basketball meeting in the rivalry contest. For the first time since 2009, neither team will be ranked heading into the game after the Cardinals fell out of the Associated Press women's basketball poll Monday. That year, the Wildcats won at home 101-67.

The game will be broadcasted on ESPN (DirecTV 206; 31 Spectrum; 602 AT&T; 140 Dish) with Dave O'Brien doing play-by-play and Carolyn Peck as the color analyst. In Lexington, ESPN is on Channel 28 (Spectrum), 206 (DirecTV) and 140 (Dish Network).

What is the series record between Louisville vs Kentucky women's basketball?
Kentucky leads the series, 34-22, though the two teams have gone 5-5 in the last 10 contests. Most recently, the Cardinals have won five straight games by an average margin of 7.6 points. They started their current streak in 2016 via a 69-67 overtime victory having lost the previous five games. Myisha Hines-Allen scored 26 points with Asia Durr, who now goes by AD, chipping in 15 points.
U of L's most recent win is via a 64-58 decision, which came last year at home. Chelsie Hall provided the Cardinals with 15 points, while Hailey Van Lith and Ahlana Smith each had 13 points. Dre'una Edwards and Treasure Hunt combined equally for 28 points to pace UK's offensive effort.
The series began the year the Title IX law was passed in 1975. Louisville hosted but fell to UK, 75-37. The Cardinals' first win over the Wildcats would come the next year 60-45 with the squads playing at Freedom Hall.
