LIVE UPDATES: Middleboro Little League represents Massachusetts at New England Regionals
BRISTOL, CT. – Winning championships at the sectional, district and state levels this summer has quickly helped the title of 'Team Massachusetts' grow on the Middleboro Little League baseball team.
Packed-up and prepared, the team takes its state crown on the road to Breen Field at the A. Bartlett Giamatti Little League Leadership Training Center in Bristol, CT to square off against fellow state champs from Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire at the Regionals tournament for a chance to qualify for the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA, which begins on Aug. 17.

The New England Regionals tournament begins on Saturday and concludes with the championship next Thursday, Aug. 11. Middleboro opens tournament play against Concord, the New Hampshire representative, Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The game can be streamed on ESPN+ and updates will be posted below throughout the game.

Concord pitcher Henry Thresher made a diving stop to rob Middleboro's Shawn Miller of a hit in his first at-bat of the day. Thresher's strikeout count is up to 10, already.
After reaching base on a walk, a fielder's choice advances Concord's Nolan Walsh to second. He then advanced to third base on a wild pitch. Jayden Murphy records his seventh strikeout to conclude the inning.

Replay review determined Jayden Murphy beat out a throw to first base on a ground ball to second, registering Middleboro's first hit of the afternoon.
On the mound, Murphy escapes the inning with a groundout to Gavin Gillpatrick at shortstop after surrounding a walk on a full count, with two outs.

Middleboro's Ayden Morris, Nathan Mello and Luke Bolduc go down swinging as the strikeout count for Concord's Henry Thresher increases to six.
