The Colo-NESCO football team earned its second victory in a row with an impressive offensive performance against Dunkerton Friday.

The Royals celebrated homecoming with an 82-42 victory at Colo.

"This was our best offensive game of the year," Colo-NESCO head coach David Greenfield said. "The offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage all night and our skill guys made some really nice plays."

Colo-NESCO overcame a slow start to pull off the decisive victory. The Royals outscored the Raiders 24-6 in the second quarter to build a 38-22 halftime lead and the rout was on from there.

The victory put Colo-NESCO at 3-3 on the season and 2-2 in 8-player District 4. Dunkerton fell to 0-6 and 0-4 respectively.

Tough road game up next

Colo-NESCO will end the season with back-to-back road games.

The Royals face a huge challenge this Friday against BGM in a non-district outing. BGM is 4-2 on the season.

"We take on a really solid BGM team this week on the road, but we are playing with a ton of confidence right now after two big wins in a row," Greenfield said.

The Royals and Bears will kick off at 7 p.m. in Brooklyn.
