Lafayette Parish School System announces Principals of the Year
Three administrators in the Lafayette Parish School System have been named district Principal of the Year for 2022-23.
District leaders surprised each principal with the formal announcement as well as balloons and a token of appreciation at their schools this week.
The winners are:
Elementary Principal of the Year: Rhonda Dickerson of Ridge Elementary
Middle School Principal of the Year: Katherine Rayburn of Paul Breaux Middle School
High School Principal of the Year: Julia Williams of Northside High School
"This is a high honor for outstanding principals who have been selected by their peers," according to a news release from LPSS.

Similar to the annual Teacher of the Year competition, each year principals nominate their peers and then select a Principal of the Year based on these nominations. The winners of the district move on to the state competition.
