The new L.L. Bean store in the Finney Crossing neighborhood is having its grand opening Friday, June 10. The store will open at 9 a.m. at 69 Market St.
According to the Maine-based company, the first 200 customers will receive a gift card worth up to $500 on the opening day. Customers can begin lining up at the door at 6 a.m.
After Friday's grand opening, L.L. Bean in Williston plans to be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The first L.L. Bean store in Vermont opened in downtown Burlington in 2014 as one of the stores attached to the downtown mall. However, the company announced in 2021 that it would be leaving that location in June 2022 to resettle in Williston. At the time of that announcement, the mall's developer at the time, Don Sinex, cited thefts from the store as one of the reasons he believed the store was moving out of town.
