Is Kyler Murray trying to send a message to Arizona Cardinals with social media changes?
Kyler Murray created a stir on social media Sunday night when he removed references to the Arizona Cardinals on his Instagram account and stopped following his team on Instagram and Twitter.
His Instagram account now contains just two photos — one about him winning the Heisman Trophy at Oklahoma and a gallery of him at the Pro Bowl on Sunday that leads off with him with former Oklahoma teammate CeeDee Lamb.
Murray is eligible for a contract extension this offseason from his four-year rookie deal.
Speculation ran rampant after the moves wondering if Murray was upset with the Cardinals.

Soooooooo… either Kyler Murray’s IG page is under construction or he/his team removed all the references to the @AZCardinals and stopped following them. 🤷🏽♂️ pic.twitter.com/MTIdmrS1TQ

Cards Wire's Jess Root wrote: "Since he hasn’t said anything, we can only speculate, but this is often the sort of move a player moves when he is unhappy with the team. We have seen this in the past with other Cardinals players before. Cornerback Patrick Peterson did it when he was unhappy with how the Cardinals were handling things. Murray is eligible for a contract extension this offseason, but assuming the Cardinals exercise his fifth-year option on his contract, the team has control for two more seasons. If there is any tension between him and the organization, surely we will hear something and won’t be left with only what he did with his social media accounts."

Some on social media wondered if Murray was trying to send a message to the Cardinals.
Kyler Murray scraped all Cardinals content from his Instagram.
This is what happens when a perennially bottom-dwelling organization wastes their star QB’s rookie scale contract bc they were happy to have a midseason winning record twice in 3 seasons.
Changes MUST be made. Soon.— Alex Clancy (@ClancysCorner) February 7, 2022
Kyler unfollowing the Cards on IG and twitter is a little worrying I can’t lie but hopefully it’s nothing lmao

If something is indeed up with Murray, my recommendation for the team is to do whatever necessary to make it work.
It’s a quarterback league and if you don’t have one…you’re done. It’s over. https://t.co/1fIIelI68T— Johnny Venerable (@JohnnyVenerable) February 7, 2022
Others didn't see a need to overreact, and thought that his social media changes really didn't mean anything.
People share, delete, and archive posts/pictures all the time on social media.
I wouldn't pay much attention to what Kyler Murray did on Instagram. It is an effective way to silence all the notis he gets daily and to clear his mind going into the offseason— Andy Kwong (@akwong31) February 7, 2022
Seriously, dude? He just played the last football game of his season today. That means he’s…going on vacation. Just wants to get away from anything for a month or so. I’ve seen people do this before.

Kyler Murray deleted all Cardinals pictures from his Instagram. He also deleted all pictures of his family. Does this mean he no longer loves them??

What do you think his social media actions mean (if anything)?
