Kelsea Ballerini is a force to be reckoned with. Over the past five years, the Tennessee native has made a name for herself in the country music scene, with her latest album, “Kelsea,” being her most notable work yet. Through it all, her husband, Australian country musician Morgan Evans, has supported her unconditionally, even performing with her onstage for several occasions.

"He was like, 'Let’s take a shot,'" she told People in 2017. "I remember taking that shot and putting it down and looking at him like, 'Oh … he's super-hot.' Later that night he leaned over and asked if he could kiss me, like a proper gentleman, and I said yes."

By the end of 2016, Morgan proposed to Kelsea on Christmas.

"This morning, nine months and 13 days later, he got down on one knee in the kitchen while I was burning pancakes and asked me to marry him,” the singer-songwriter wrote on Instagram. “Loving him has been the greatest gift of my life. And now I get to do it for life."

Morgan later revealed the story behind the engagement ring to PeopleStyle. "I had the ring custom-made with a diamond I picked from a local designer here in Nashville,” he told the outlet. “I wanted it to be classic and beautiful, like her."

On December 2, 2017, Kelsea and Morgan tied the knot in an intimate oceanside ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. After a whirlwind romance, the artists exchanged emotional vows in front of family and friends, followed by their first dance to Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.”

As a tribute to their first night meeting, the newlyweds and their 100 guests celebrated their union with a tequila shot. “It’s a little bit different,” she told People. “But that’s how we started.”

Fast forward to now, Kelsea and Morgan have been married for over two years now and are stronger than ever. Although their music careers often take them in different directions, the artists always find their way back to each other.

“With our careers, we get to do what we love, then we get to find time to be with who we love,” Kelsea told the outlet. “I think that makes for a really full life — when you can do everything that you want, and then share it with someone."
