Joe Harris becomes fastest Nets player to 100 3-pointers made in a season

Joe Harris continues to prove he’s both one of the best 3-point shooters in the game and in Nets franchise history. Just two days after he climbed the Nets’ all-time 3-pointers made list, surpassing Kerry Kittles at No. 2, Harris set a franchise record.

Harris entered Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers with 98 3-pointers made in 2020-21 on 198 attempts (49.5%). In the first half, Brooklyn’s sharpshooter knocked down 4 of his 5 attempts to eclipse the 100 3-pointers made mark. It only took Harris 31 games to reach that total, which is a franchise record. The previous record was 41 games — something four players had done previously.

Harris’ career-high for 3-pointers in a single season is 183 — he reached the mark in the same season he led the league in 3-point percentage (47.4% in 2018-19).

Harris will have to maintain his pace is he plans to break D’Angelo Russell’s franchise record for 3-pointers made in a single season (234) since the 2020-21 season is a shortened one.
